October and November will be busy months for Mi Chacra. The film will be screening at five festivals in five countries. It’s a great honor to be invited to each of these events, and I’m looking forward to sharing the film with such a diverse array of audiences.
First up will be the Taiwan International Documentary Festival. The film will screen as part of the Panorama section of the festival alongside a great selection of films. The screenings will be October 23rd, at 12:10pm, and October 26th, at 8pm.
Next, the film will screen at the International Documentary Encounters/Colombia in Bogota. Screening times have not been announced yet, but we’ll post them as soon as they are.
This will be followed by a screening at the Banff Mountain Film Festival in Banff, Canada on October 30th at 4pm.
After Banff, the film will head south to screen at the Oaxaca International Independent Film & Video Festival in Oaxaca, Mexico. The film will screen Monday, November 8th at 7pm.
And finally, the film’s East Coast Premiere will take place November 14th at 4pm at the Margaret Mead Film & Video Festival at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. The festival is the oldest documentary festival in the states, and I’m very excited to screen the film at the festival, at the museum, and in New York.
I will be attending the festivals in Banff and New York.
